Evelyn R. Lambert
August 1, 1932 - April 11, 2005

Evelyn R. Lambert, 72, Salina, died Monday, April 11, 2005.

Mrs. Lambert was born Evelyn R. Strange on August 1, 1932 at Arkansas City. She worked as the manager of Elmore's Cafeteria & Dairy Bar and then managed the Kmart cafeteria until retiring in 1994. She was a proud supporter of Brown Mackie Basketball and recently attended their National Championship victory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Lambert, Jr. in 2002 and a son, Roger Lambert in 1999.

Survivors include a son, Gary Lambert and wife Lynn of Valdosta, GA; a daughter, Lisa Graves and husband Vincent of Salina; a sister-in-law, Louann Lambert of Waldorf, Maryland; a brother, Clovis Strange, Jr. of Arkansas City, KS; and seven grandchildren, Jessica Lambert and fiancé A.J. Christopher of Georgia, Jenny Stewart and husband Jason of Maryland, Tracy Lambert of Maryland, Ashley Morgan and husband Travis of Georgia, Alissa Avery, Laura Graves and Elijah Graves, all of Salina.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Southern Baptist Church, 2401 S. Ohio with the Rev. Glenn Davis officiating.

Memorials may be made to the First Southern Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
