Mr. Liby was born July 30, 1916, in Ottawa County. He worked for Rock Island Freightline for 33 years, retiring in 1977.

Survivors include his wife, Lela, of Salina; a son, Stan Liby of Minneapolis; a stepson, Bob Baird of Wichita; a daughter, Karen Ribordy of Solomon; a stepdaughter, Tanya Kimzey of Salina; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, Salina. Private inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the church.

There will be no visitation.
