Mr. Maxey was born Nov. 23, 1959, at Fort Ord, Calif. He was a co-owner and operator for A&S Masonry with his business partner, Aaron Lee.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert S. Maxey.

Survivors include a son, Robert Paul Maxey of Salina; two daughters, Skyle and Mellisa Maxey, both of Salina; his parents, Robert H. and Janice M. Maxey of Salina; three brothers, Thomas and Patrick, both of Salina, and Kevin of California; five sisters, Teresa Shane and Angela Percival, both of Omaha, Neb., Julia Maxey of Odenton, Md., Susan Cowell of Park City and Kathleen Maxey of Salina; a grandson, Ian Maxey of Salina; and a special friend, Leona Eckley.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
