Mrs. Nichols was born June 17, 1920, at Victoria. She had owned and operated the Sportsman Club in Salina for many years and owned the Salina Speedway and Nichols Reality until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Nichols in 1994, her parents, Peter P. and Elizabeth (Schmidtberger) Sanders; three brothers, Daniel P. Sanders, Herbert Sanders and Francis Sanders; and three sisters, Louise Keener, Isabelle Vera Coleman and Cecilia Carson.

Survivors include a special nephew and niece, Jerry and Lorita Nichols of Salina; four sisters, Agatha Bittman of Perry, Okla., Esther Morris of Salina, Bernice Hogan of San Antonio, Texas, and Betty Lang of Hays; and many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. today at the mortuary.
