Mrs. Nilson was born Augusta Grace Schwarz on Oct. 22, 1915, in Gypsum. She and her husband owned and operated a dairy and farming business, south of Gypsum.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel O. “Bud” Nilson, in 1993; and a great-granddaughter, Effie Grace Trout, in 1991.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur and Eugene, both of Gypsum; two daughters, Dorothy Eppler of Paola and Joan Arrasmith of Lindsborg; a sister, Elsie Thiel of Gypsum; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Temple Church, rural Gypsum. Burial will be in Temple Church Cemetery, rural Gypsum.

Memorials may be made to the church or Gideons International.
