Mr. Nordstrom was born Aug. 17, 1915, in Superior, Wis. He was an electric meter foreman for KPL, retiring in 1980. He was an Air Force technical sergeant during World War II and was a part of the 45th bombardment group.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Nordstrom.

Survivors include his wife, Laurena; a son, Johnny Jr. of Wichita; two daughters, Dianna Dawdy and husband Bill of Beloit and Pam Elder and husband Bryan of Yukon, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Whitney, Kelsey, Tim Dawdy and wife Ashley, Kim Suhr and husband Clint, Nicole, Travis and Amanda; and four great-grandchildren, Cody, Kyler and Kara Suhr and Katelyn Dawdy.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
