Mrs. Oetting was born Ethlyn G. Kerr on Dec. 5, 1917, in Lincoln. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Lawrence “Shorty,” died in 1985.

Survivors include three sons, Lawrence A. of Beverly, and Randy and David, both of Salina; two daughters, Billie Jean Alger of McPherson and Mary Behnke of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial service was held at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Inurnment will be in Beverly Cemetery.
