Joseph E. Pankaskie

Joseph E. Pankaskie, 80, Salina, died Monday, June 20, 2005.

Mr. Pankaskie was born July 13, 1924, in Dresden. He was an entomologist for the Mid West Research Farms of York, Neb.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred A. of the home; two sons, Marvin C. of Green Acres, Fla., and David E. of Arkansas City; a daughter, Marcia L. Pankaskie of Roeland Park; a brother, Phillip of Washington state; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Columbarium of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the Salina Emergency Aid Food Bank or to the church.

There will be no visitation. The body was donated to the University of Kansas Medical Center Willed Body Program.
