Orville A. Rawline
May 11, 1908 - December 5, 2005

Orville A. Rawline, 97, Salina, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005.

Mr. Rawline was born May 11, 1908, in Saline County. He farmed in the Kipp area, later owned and operated the Rawline Construction Co. and was supervisor for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service for 20 years. He was a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Saline County Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol, Kansas Farm Bureau, Talmage Cooperative Association, Saline County Rescue Squad and Kipp High School Board.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine, in 1990; two sons, Ralph and George; and a daughter, Virgie Barenberg.

He married his second wife, Dorothy Holmcamp, in 1996.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Florissant, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Lou Shouse of Hot Springs, Ark.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Salina.

There will be no visitation.
