Mr. Richardson was born Dec. 11, 1932, in Wichita. He was co-owner of Vernon’s Supply, Vernon’s Photo ID Systems and Vernon’s Print Shoppe, all of Salina. He also served as a lieutenant for the Salina Police Department.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Barrus and Louise Swensson.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia, of the home; a brother-in-law, Eldon Swensson and wife Dee of Lindsborg; a sister-in-law, Doris Myers of Ogden, Utah; and several nephews, nieces and grand- and great-grandnephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, 843 Lewis, Salina, the Rev. James Bridges officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the church.

There will be no visitation.
