Herb Salzman, 73, Salina, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005. Mr. Salzman was born Orville Herbert Salzman on April 3, 1932, in Bunceton, Mo. He was a farmer northwest of Salina, retiring in 1998. He also worked at Beech Aircraft in Salina for 27 years, retiring in 1995. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; three daughters, Vickie Dinkel and husband Allen of Plainville, Regina Moore and husband Mike of Salina and Kimberly Bright and husband Paul of Junction City; two brothers, Bob of Columbia, Mo., and Marvin and wife Barbara of Versailles, Mo.; three sisters, Mary Gerhardt of Osage Beach, Mo., Jeanette Miller and husband Phillip of Bunceton and Fern Camden of Manchester, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Matthew Dinkel, James Dinkel, Kristen Dinkel, Jason Dinkel, Mindy Moore, Melissa Moore, Mary Moore, Brandon Salzman-Bright and Jeremy Bright; and a great-grandchild, Brooklyn Salzman. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. A vigil and rosary will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral, Ninth and Iron, Salina 67401. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. |
