Delma M. Sampson, 78, Salina, died Tuessday, November 1, 2005. Mrs. Sampson was born Delma M. Steinhoff on May 6, 1927, in Osage City, the daughter of Jess and Effie Fritts Steinhoff. She was a graduate of Osage City High School and Wichita Business College and received a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University. She was a certified public accountant and assisted her husband in the operation of his many business enterprises. She was the second woman in Kansas to become a certified public accountant. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Darwin L., of the home; a stepson, James D. Sampson of Salina; a brother, Roy Steinhoff of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Wanda King of Osage City; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Jeff King officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Memorials may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina or First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. |
