Mrs. Schneider was born Genevieve Marie Ryan on June 10, 1921, in Saline County. She was a farm homemaker and taught school for 10 years in Brookville and rural Solomon.

Survivors include her husband, John J. of Salina; two sons, the Rev. Robert J. of Safety Harbor, Fla., and Paul C. of Salina; two daughters, Ann Schneider of Salina and Agnes Marie Scolastico of Westwood Hills; a brother, John W. Ryan of Solomon; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. A vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Grade School Endowment.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
