Mrs. Scott was born Elaine Joyce Richter on April 17, 1951, in Stromsburg, Neb. She was a graphic artist.

Survivors include her husband, John C., of the home; a daughter, Alison Pugh of Wamego; a son, Adam of Salina; her mother, Lois Richter of Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, Greg Richter of Lincoln, Neb.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.

There will be no visitation.
