Mr. Smith was born November 24, 1914, in Kinsley. He was a grocer and worked at Mammel's, Safeway, Gibson's and Food $ Less.

Survivors include his wife, Alvena, of Salina; two sons, Jerry and wife Sherry and Michael and wife Vickie, all of Salina; three grandchildren, Melody Elam and Scott Smith, both of Salina and Michelle Coonrod of Manhattan; and five great grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery Salina.
