Paul Michael “Mike” Stout

Paul Michael “Mike” Stout, 68, Salina, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005.

Mike was born Nov. 26, 1936, in Lincoln. He worked in the grocery business for 35 years, 26 years with Boogaart Supply, Concordia. He retired as director of merchandising in 1987. He also worked for C&S Wholesale Grocer, Brattleboro, Vt., and P&C Foods, White River Junction, Vt. In 1955, he was drafted into the Navy and attended Hospital Corpsman School and was transferred to H&S Company, First Marine Corps at Camp Pendelton, Calif. He married Jolene Berthelson on Nov. 25, 1961, in Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Faye Stout.

Survivors include his wife, Jolene, of the home; two daughters, Patryce MacKenzie and husband Brian of San Francisco and Julie Campbell and husband Arthur of Downingtown, Pa.; a son, Michael John Stout of Nappanee, Ind.; a brother, Patrick Stout of Whitesboro, Texas; and five grandchildren, Max and Anna MacKenzie, Tyler Campbell and Austin and Lindsay Stout.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, Lincoln, the Rev. Kay Metzler officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
