Corina Jon Stromberg
February 27, 1964 - January 26, 2005

Corina Jon Stromberg, 40, Salina, died Wednesday, January 26, 2005.

Mrs. Stromberg was born Corina Jon Sutherin on February 27, 1964, in Van Nuys, California. She was a beloved wife and mother. Corina was loved by all and dedicated all her energy to raising and teaching her daughter. She had a great love and concern for others and always made others feel good and comfortable. Corina graduated from high school in Post Falls, Idaho. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Anaheim, California. She received her Associates Degree in Mass Communications from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho on April 26, 1990. Corina and Ken were married in Idaho Falls, ID on April 27, 1990. She attended Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Corina lived in Wichita, Kansas from 1993-2003 and has lived in Salina, Kansas since. Corina’s hobbies included skiing, traveling, spending time with family and helping others. She enjoyed serving in her Church callings especially working with the Young Women.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Gayla “Dimpsy” Sutherin.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Stromberg of the home; her daughter, Katelyn of the home; two brothers, Corwin Sutherin of Shelley, Idaho and Gaylen Sutherin of Randolph, Vermont; and her parents, Philip and Opie Sutherin of Teton, Idaho.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 845 S. Ohio St, Salina. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401 where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m.
