Mr. Swartz was born Dec. 26, 1947, in Salina. He was in charge of production control for Smoky Valley Bombing Range.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Leota; and two brothers, Gail and Bill.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home; a sister, Shirley Milleson of Salina; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Salina Bible Church, 2100 Quincy, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Salemsborg Lutheran Cemetery, Smolan.

Memorials may be made to the Salina Bible Church Missions Fund or American Cancer Society.
