James Kenneth Wallace, 90, Salina, died Friday, July 1, 2005. Mr. Wallace was born April 12, 1915, in Ada. He was a supervisor for Salina Spring & Axel for 41 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Ann (Shirley) Wallace; his first wife, Virginia Winans Wallace; a daughter, Madeline Brown; and a stepson, Mike Glendening. Survivors include his wife, Maxine, of Salina; three sons, John Wallace of Florida, Bill Wallace and wife Karen of Denver and Mike Wallace and wife Ethel of Lawrence; a stepdaughter, Terri Brightbill and husband Bob of Salina; a brother, Bobbie Dean Wallace and wife Myrtle of Minneapolis; and two sisters, Wilma Shoemaker of Minneapolis and Dorothy Hardesty of McPherson. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Salina, the Rev. Kerry Ninemire officiating. Burial will be in Bennington Cemetery, Bennington. A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. |
