Mr. White was born Dec. 8, 1912, in Osborne County. He owned and operated White Transmission for 35 years and also had farm interests.

He served in the Navy from 1942-1945 as a chief motor machinist mate.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma of the home; a daughter, Mary Hopwood and husband Howard of Edmond, Okla.; a son, Ronald White and wife Marjorie of Topeka; four grandchildren, Rebecca McDonell, James Hopwood, Jennifer Tillberg and David White; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew and Michael McDonell and Adam Tillberg.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, Salina. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Luray Cemetery.
