Mr. Winter was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Lincolnville. He was an auto mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda, of the home; three sons, Kenneth and Mark, both of Salina, and Jerry of Brookville; a brother, Alvin Winter of Marion; a sister, Sylvia Helmer of Marion; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, Salina. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the church.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
