Mrs. Aldridge was born Arlyss Louise Arnold on Jan. 30, 1922, in Lenora, Kan. She was a licensed beautician and cosmetologist for more than 40 years in California, Colorado and Kansas.

She was a life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1432, Salina, Kan., and was a past president and president of the Past President’s Club; past president of the Kansas VFW Ladies Auxiliary 6th District; past state president of the Kansas VFW Ladies Auxiliary State Past President’s Club; and VFWNational Home Life Member. She also was a past president of the Military Order of Cooties Auxiliary 3, Topeka, Kan., and was a past grand president and past grand chaplin of the MilitaryOrder of Cooties Auxiliary 3, Topeka. She also was a member of VFW Auxiliary Post160 Past President’s Club, Topeka.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Barney M. Aldridge, of Cheyenne; two sons, Marc and wife Stefani of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Dee and wife Pam of Cheyenne; and two grandchildren, Nicki Aldridge and Marc Aldridge Jr., both of Fort Wayne.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Entombment services will follow at Mausoleum Williamsburg in Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina 67401.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
