Myrtle O. Baldwin, 106, Salina, died Thursday, March 16, 2006. Mrs. Baldwin was born Myrtle Olive Deitch on Aug. 13, 1899, in Malcomb, Neb. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Salina Senior Center and The Golden Years Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel P. Baldwin; her parents, Fred and Minnie Deitch; and three daughters, Maxine Blacker, Bernice McElroy and Mary Train. Survivors include two sons, William F. and wife Kathleen and Fred N. and wife Carol, all of Salina; a daughter, Thelma Elniff of Jewell; a son-in-law, Bernard McElroy of Belleville; a nephew, John Deitch of Tina, Mo.; two cousins, Rodney Clevenger and Jane Shelton, both of Polo, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren. The funerals will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, and at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, 113 Main, Jewell 66949. Burial will be in Wallace Cemetery, Jewell. Memorials may be made to the Salina Senior Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. |
