Mrs. Bennet was born Deloris A. Hance on March 24, 1925, in Stockton. She was a homemaker and a member of Cornerstone Community Church and VFW Auxiliary. She married J.B. Bennet on Oct. 25, 1941, in Stockton.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Bennet in 1950 and Eldon Bennet in 2000; a brother, John Hance in 1976; and a great-grandson, Eldon Wayne Bennet II.

Survivors include her husband, J.B., of the home; three sons, Carlis of Shenandoah, Iowa, and Roger and John, both of Salina; a sister, Ruth Jackson of Salina; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. David Morris officiating. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Stockton Cemetery, Stockton.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or O.C.C.K. of Salina.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.
