Mr. Bishop was born Jan. 25, 1954, in Salina.

He was a lieutenant for the Salina Fire Department. He started with the department in 1976, became a lieutenant in 1988 and most recently served the department as acting division chief.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy, of the home; two sons, Jimmy of Lawrence and Nalo of the home; his parents, Jack and Juanitta Bishop of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Jack of Jacksonville and Jerry of Newton; and one grandchild, Blain Bishop.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bicentennial Center-Heritage Hall, 800 The Midway, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
