She was born Grace E. Johnson on Oct. 13, 1916, in Gering, Neb. She was postmaster in Bavaria, retiring in 1982.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie, in March 2002.

Survivors include a son, John of Olathe; a daughter, Joan Morgenson of Lenexa; a brother, Howard of Ottawa; five sisters, Minnie Beck of Council Grove, Bly Allen of Altoona, Wis., Wanda Block of Lenexa; Alva Smith of Garland, Texas, and Ruth Oborg of Lindsborg; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina, with burial at 3:30 p.m. in Falun Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
