Mrs. Breer was born Rose Dryden on July 12, 1916, in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Breer, in 2002; a daughter, Rose Ann Sooby, in 2005; a son, Thomas Edward, in 1957; and five sisters, Lydia Peterson, Louise Rogers, Alice Dryden, twin Marguerite Putnam and Frances Zebre.

Survivors include four sons, Edward and wife Eileen of Silverthorn, Colo., Michael and wife Faye of Salina, Patrick of Wichita and Timothy and wife Debbie of Assaria; a daughter, Mary Breer of Salina; a son-in-law, Mike Sooby of Manhattan; and six grandchildren, Christopher Sooby, Naomi Breer, Cassandra Breer, Aaron Breer, Andrew Breer and Rebecca Breer. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Ninth and Iron, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil and rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
