Dolores D. “Rusty Crough, 77, Salina, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006. Mrs. Crough was born Dolores D. Dalrymple on Dec. 29, 1928, in Great Bend, the daughter of Karl Willard Dalrymple and the former Edith Viola Hubbell. She was a secretary at University United Methodist Church, Salina, and had been a bookkeeper at Cunningham Floral, and Woods and Durham. She graduated from Phoenix High School, attended Bethany College and was a Navy WAVE. She was a private pilot and designed and built her own home. She was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed music and dancing. She was a member of the 600 Bowling Club and Trinity United Methodist Church. She was married by Methodist Bishop Dr. Cook to Vincent Eugene Crough on Dec. 27, 1948, in Salina. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Vincent Eugene Jr., in 1951; and a sister, Grace Jean Dalrymple, in 2002. Survivors include her husband, Vincent E. “Mike,” of Salina; a daughter, Delene Kaye “Dee” Schoof of Salina; and two grandchildren, Rick and David Schoof. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina, the Rev. Linda Bolz and Bishop Richard Wilke officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or the church. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. |
