Mrs. Daws was born Genevieve M. Arnold on Oct. 9, 1923, in Salina. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford M. Daws, in 2005.

Survivors include a son, Terry Daws of Salina; three daughters, Ellen Deegan of Milford, Mae Behrendt of Wichita and Karen Thayer of Quincy, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Private burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the Salina Animal Shelter.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
