D. Sue Green, 72, Salina, died Sunday, July 2, 2006. Mrs. Green was born D. Sue Willett on Oct. 25, 1933, in Beloit. She was a retail sales buyer. She graduated from Brown Mackie College in 1952. She married Ronald Lee Green on July 18, 1953, at First Presbyterian Church, Salina. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a church elder, deacon and Sunday school teacher and assisted with church hospital visits and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter DL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin F. Willett and the former Mamie A. Weir. Survivors include her husband, Ronald of Salina; three daughters, Holly Bethe and husband Mark of Hope, Cathy Green of Overland Park and Ronda Green of Salina; three grandchildren, Sara Bethe Hunnicutt, Christopher Bethe and McCabe Green; and a great-grandchild, Riley Nicole Hunnicutt. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Salina, the Rev. Tom Reid officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Memorials may be made to the church, Hospice of Salina, Kansas University Cancer Research Institute, or the Terry C. Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research, 1 Chalmers Hall, Kansas State University, 1700 Anderson, Manhattan, KS 66502-9909. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. |
