Mrs. King was born Bernice Caroline Sondergard on Sept. 8, 1919, in Brookville. She was a member of Brookville United Methodist Church, Brookville Seniors, PMO, Loyal Order of the Moose Women and Salina Jolly Mixers.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford E. Bieber, in 1993.

Survivors include her husband, John H. King, of the home; a son, Craig A. Bieber and wife Yolanda of Tampa, Fla.; two stepsons, Sam A. King and wife Lisa of Salina and John H. King II and wife Mary of Chula Vista, Calif.; three stepgrandchildren, Jenny King of Salina, Brian King and wife Angela of Springfield, Mo., and John Samuel King and wife Lea of Valdosta, Ga.; and a stepgreat-grandchild, John Paul King of Valdosta.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Memorials may be made to Brookville United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
