Mrs. Leonard was born Dorothy Marie Krizek on August 14, 1924, in Dresden. She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for the Planter's State Bank in Salina and the Bob Leonard Insurance Agency, Salina. She graduated from Dresden High School in 1943 and attended Brown-Mackie Business College in 1944.

She married Bob Leonard on August 1, 1948, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina.

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church Alter Guild, the Service Committee, the Golden Links Club, the Lois Group and was a Sunday school teacher, all at the church in Salina.

Survivors include her husband, Bob of Hutchinson; a son, Doyle Leonard and wife Beverly of Phoenix; a daughter, Marcia Allen of Hutchinson; a brother, Kenneth Krizek and wife Violet of Jennings; three grandchildren, Shawn Allen, Brett Allen and John Leonard; and two great-grandchildren, Justin Allen and Jenna Allen.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Endowment, Salina, or the Good Samaritan Village Van Fund, Hutchinson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
