Mr. Lerma was born Dec. 6, 1971, at Chihuahua, Mexico. He was an assembly line worker at Exide in Salina.

Survivors include his children, Angel A. Lerma Jr., Alex Omar Lerma, Vianca Yadira Lerma, Jordan Miguel Lerma and Daniel Leonardo Lerma, all of Salina; his parents, Miguel Angel Lerma and Rosa Emma Tarin-Lerma of Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico; two brothers, Octavio and Miguel Enrique, both of Lazaro Cardenas; two sisters, Bertha Delia Lerma of Lazaro Cardenas, and Isabel Cristina Lerma of Barranco-Blanco, Mexico; and his companion, Rosaura Torres of Salina.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral, Ninth and Iron, Salina. Burial will be in Lazaro Cardenas.

A vigil and rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the cathedral.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6:30 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, and from 6:45 p.m. until the vigil at the cathedral.
