Mrs. Manwaring was born Valeta L. Bender on July 22, 1930, in Upland. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, LaRue A., of the home; two sons, Joel and Arlan, both of Salina; two daughters, Angela Manwaring and Lorna Lopez, both of Salina; two brothers, Rex Bender of Claremore, Okla., and Doyle Bender of Chapman; three sisters, Myrna Combs, Iva Lou Bachus and Twila Polson; and nine grandchildren.

A graveside service for Valeta L. Manwaring will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the family.

There will be no visitation.
