Mrs. McClaskey was born Lois Jean Covey on January 4, 1931 in Wichita. She was a homemaker. Lois graduated from North High School in Wichita in 1949.

She was united in marriage to Dale McClaskey on September 3, 1950 in Wichita.

Her memberships include: Silver Needles Quilt Guild, Founder of Sunflower Doll Collectors, Charter Member of the Eager Beavers Camping Club, First UMC Church & Crusaders Sunday School Class and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors include her husband, Dale of the home; one son, Gerald McClaskey of Lawrence; two daughters, Vicki Kolarik of Bellevue, NE and Linda Van Ness of Bowie, MD; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church, Salina. Private family burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
