Mr. Milleson was born May 12, 1929, the son of John and Vergie (Swisher) Milleson, in Gypsum. He was a plant foreman for Brown and Brown Construction and then J.H. Shears, in Salina until retiring in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ralph and Robert.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shirley, of the home; a son, Steve and wife Beverly of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Linda Augustine and husband Rick of Salina; three sister-in-laws, Shirley Ann Milleson of Salina, Patricia Milleson Stoll of Mulvane and Barbara Davis and husband Jack of Salina; four grandchildren, Shelly and Shaun Smith of Salina, Leanna Lorfing and husband Kevin of Kansas City, Kan., and Kesa Augustine of Salina; and a great-grandson, Jayden Donner of Salina.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 255 S. Seventh, Salina. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, in Gypsum Cemetery, Gypsum, with VFW Post 1432 providing military honors.

Memorials may be made to the church foundation.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
