Mr. Moffet was born Roy Earnest Moffet on March 8, 1923, in Leavenworth. He was a grain handler/miller for Bunge Grain in Salina for many years, until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theda, in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Randy and wife Crissie of Wichita; two daughters, S. Jolene Clark and Maryetta R. Gill and husband Jack, all of Salina; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church, 2026 Starlight Drive, Salina. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, with military honors by VFW Post No. 1432, Salina.
