Mrs. Nemechek was born Charlotte M. Johannes on Nov. 4, 1931, in Salina. She was a cook in Salina School District for 30 years.

Survivors include her husband, Carl, of Salina; three sons, David and Douglas, both of Salina, and Clinton of Smolan; a daughter, Diane Owens of Newton; a brother, Duane Johannes of Salina; a sister, Laveda Ferguson of Salina; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Salina. Inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the church.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
