Mr. Obermeyer was born May 14, 1949, in Herington, Kan. He was an assistant manager for Litwin's Clothing, Great Bend, Kan. He was a firefighter for the U.S. Air Force and the Civil Service in Alaska and worked for Security Service Personnel, Florida. He graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in business. He was a senior airman in the Air Force and served three years in Alaska. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Alaska and Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father, Del W. Obermeyer, in 1998.

Survivors include his mother, Marilyn Obermeyer, of Salina, Kan., a twin brother, Don Obermeyer of Ruskin; a sister, Marilyn Rolfs and husband Jack of Salina; three nephews, Austin, Travis and Jackson Rolfs of Salina; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Geneseo Cemetery, Geneseo, Kan., Pastor Rod Fox officiating.
