Carol A. Patterson, 72, Salina, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006. Mrs. Patterson was born Carol A. Carlisle on Dec. 7, 1933, in Kansas City, Mo. She was vice-president and director of Brown Mackie Business College, Salina, before retirement. She attended Kansas Wesleyan University from 1951 to 1952. She married James A. Patterson on April 24, 1953, in Salina. She was president of Salina Regional Health Center Service Auxillary, appointed to Kansas Proprietary School Advisory Commission, a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon, and a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved to travel, her grandchildren and antiques. Survivors include her husband, James A., of the home; a son, James E. of Cincinnati; a daughter, LeAnn D. Melichar of Zionsville, Ind.; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tammy Walker Cancer Center, Salina, or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Wichita. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. |
