Mr. Patterson was born Nov. 1, 1934, in Clarksburg, W.Va. He was a residents coordinator at Oakdale Apartments.

He was a technical sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Pat, of Salina; a son, Jeff of Auburn; four daughters, Pam Hataway of Savannah, Ga., Phyllis Ann Cole of Hutchinson, Jackie Patterson of Newton and Mayola Patterson of Newton; a brother, John Patterson Jr. of Specter, W.Va.; a sister, Joretta Starkey of Clarksburg, W.Va.; 14 grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The memorial sevice will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Living Water Worship Center, 1111 Elmhurst, Salina 67401.
