Mrs. Petty was born Feb. 2, 1945, at Beloit. She owned and operated Divine Design Beauty Salon. She was president of the Smoky Hill Rehabilitation Center Crochet Club and a member of Victory Baptist Church, Salina.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Quillen; and her mother and stepfather, Frances and Carl Chilen.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennie Hansen and husband Tony and Jody Murphy and husband James, all of Salina; a sister, Sharon McClintock of Salina; two stepsisters, Carolyn Peters and Sandra Gibson, both of Salina; and two stepgrandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, Pastor Steve Prickett officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
