Mrs. Petitjean was born Genevieve Helen Bealby on May 22, 1919, in Natoma. She was a waitress for Brookville Hotel for 23 years, retiring in 1982.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Joseph, in 1982.

Survivors include four sons, Francis and Mark, both of Brookville, Mike of Newton and Dan of Assaria; a daughter, Patricia Nelson of Newman Grove, Neb.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud, Salina. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brookville.

A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brookville, Brookville Senior Center or the Petitjean Family Scholarship Fund at Emporia State University.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
