Mrs. Rahe was born Ella V. Matthews on June 10, 1918, in Tescott. She was a homemaker and did volunteer work.

She married Milton Rahe on May 24, 1939, in Lincoln, Neb. She worked as an assistant for a doctor in Republic for 22 years and was a waitress for several years. After retiring in 1978, she made her home in Salina.

She was a member of Church of the Cross, where she was baptized. She was a member of AARP.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton, in 1997; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include two sisters, Geraldine Oliver of Thorton, Colo., and Iris Martin of Minneapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Inurnment will be in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott.

Memorials may be made to Salina Animal Shelter or Tescott United Methodist Church.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
