WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Philip Edward Randolph, 82, Warrensburg, formerly of Salina, Kan., died Thursday, March 9, 2006. Mr. Randolph was born June 27, 1923, in Salina. He was a sales manager of the Monroe division of Litton Industries; following retirement, he maintained a cash register and business machine sales and service business. He married the former Phyllis Ann Walter on Dec. 18, 1943, at the Campus Church, Creighton University, Omaha, Neb. She died in 2004. He served in the Army Air Corp as an airplane and engine mechanic. He was a member of the Salina Downtown Lions Club for 23 years, Knights of Columbus for 64 years, Royal Neighbors and the Salina Eagles Aerie. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Parish, Salina. He also was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Randolph and the former Martha Giersch. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Allison of Warrensburg and Mary Hoggatt of Wichita, Kan.; a son, Joe of Mulvane; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church or Hospice of Warrensburg. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. |
