Mrs. Reed was born Lucille M. Fonck on Dec. 20, 1909, in Saline County. She worked as a secretary at Whittier Grade School, Salina.

She graduated from Glendale High School in 1926.

She married Edgar Reed in 1928.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar, in 1986, and a son, Ralph, in 2001.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Robert Reed of Pinckney, Mich.; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Salina. A private inurnment will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the church endowment fund.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
