James G. Ribble, 68, Salina, died Friday, June 2, 2006. Mr. Ribble was born Aug. 13, 1937, in Salina. He was a retail men’s clothier and had worked for Stiefel’s Department Store, Van’s Clothing and Harold’s Clothing. He owned and operated Ribble’s Clothing Store in Salina. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a life member of the Kansas Historical Society and Salina Elks Lodge 718. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, in October 2005; his parents, James Fay Ribble and the former Clara Lucille Kumle; and a brother, Jerry. Survivors include two sons, Mike and wife Kelly of Manhattan and Pat and wife Lisa of Arlington, Texas; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle and Sumner Ribble. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Mount St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Abilene. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Memorials may be made to Jim Ribble Scholarship Fund, in care of First Bank Kansas, P.O. Box 1337, 235 S.
