Mrs. Schorling was born Lillian Helen Fischer on July 16, 1913, in Lincolnville. She was a beauty operator in McPherson for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, in 1980; a son, Francis L. “Red,” in 2003; and a grandson.

Survivors include a son, Steve of Fairfax, Va.; a daughter, Kay Swisher of Salina; a daughter-in-law, Katie Schorling; a brother, Milton Fischer of Sun City, Ariz.; a sister, Dorothy Oliver of Fresno, Calif.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 255 S. Seventh, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Presbyterian Manor, Good Samaritan Fund or the church.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
