Ginia Lee Seng, died May 3, 2006 peacefully at her home in Salina, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her father, James Henry Seng in 1966 and a brother, David James Seng in 1988. She is survived by her mother, Sue Ann Seng of Salina; a sister, Kathy Able Gordon and brother-in-law, David of Brookville; and a brother, Marvin Henry Seng of Wichita. Other survivors include a niece, Bronwen Able Lanning and husband, John of Navada, Texas; and nephew, Augustus Henry Able and wife, Rachel of Plano, Texas. She attended Assaria High School and graduated from Brown Mackie College with an Associates Degree in Accounting. She had been employed in construction and retail industries. She had a wide variety of talents including playing piano by ear, making artistic projects for her home and friends; dancing and having fun with her many friends. She loved animals of all kinds, giving stray cats and dogs food and water; and tending to birds in her backyard. During her life she had Gigi, her poodle and Toby, her collie. But she had a special love for her beloved Smokie, a beautiful German Shepard, who was her constant companion who preceded her in death. She will be remembered for her intelligence, compassion, inquisitiveness and quest for life. Her favorite thing to do was sit in her rocking chair and listen to her music. Most of all she will be remembered for the love of her freedom and independence which she honored until the end. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 302 S. 7th, Salina. Inurnment will be in the Bennington Cemetery, Bennington. Memorials may be made to the Salina Animal Shelter. |
