Mrs. Streckfus was born Viola Ingre Oberg on March 29, 1929, in Salina. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Edward J., of the home; two sons, Eddie of Lakin and John of Pierceville; three daughters, Mary Petrie of Garden City, Rosemarie Heistand of Columbus and Susie Marietta of Solomon; a brother, Robert Oberg of San Antonio; two sisters, Dorothy Howard of Austin, Texas, and Helen Wesley of DeSoto, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research or the church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
